ALLWERKS · FOR YOUR CAREER
Opportunity Card
Explore Germany’s job-search pathway with guidance on qualifications, requirements and preparing your application.
Discuss your pathwayA PATHWAY. A PLAN. PERSONAL GUIDANCE.
Your goals are the starting point.
We begin with your education, experience, language level and ambitions. Together, we review the requirements and agree a written scope of support before you commit.
What we can discuss
- Qualification and route assessment
- Document and application guidance
- Arrival and job-search preparation
Two routes, individual requirements
The Opportunity Card is a route for eligible people to look for work in Germany without an existing job offer. German authorities assess applications and issue the permit; Allwerks helps with route assessment and preparation.
The recognised-skilled-worker route and the points-based route have different requirements. The points-based route has baseline qualification and language conditions in addition to a points threshold. We review the route relevant to your profile, rather than assuming one rule applies to everyone.
Preparing your application
Discuss recognition, language evidence, financial evidence and the documents relevant to your case. Financial requirements and application procedures can change; use current official guidance when planning. A partner must qualify independently — the Opportunity Card does not imply automatic family entitlement.
Official Opportunity Card guidance and self-checkBeginning your job search
Arrival and job-search preparation can form part of your agreed support package. A job, salary or residence decision is not guaranteed.
After you arrive
Post-arrival support is shaped around your agreed package and may include:
- Accommodation search facilitation
- Address registration guidance
- Bank account and health insurance guidance
- Relevant residence-permit and Tax ID steps
- Beginning your study, job search or training
Understand the boundaries
Allwerks supports preparation and applications, not guaranteed admission, placement or visa approval. Government charges, language classes, exams, translations, insurance, financial evidence, travel, rent and deposits are separate unless your written agreement says otherwise.
Guidance reviewed: 14 October 2026. Confirm current requirements with German authorities before applying.
